WHAT IS COLIBERTY?
CoLiberty is a direct result of the LGA’s Social Care Digital Innovation Accelerator 2019/2020 programme. Brought together by CC2i with match funding from NHS Digital; the collaboration saw the technical provider Looking Local working with 5 Councils and their health partners to create a digital solution to administer deprivation of liberty.
The product benefitted from subject matter experts from Kirklees Council, Bristol City Council, Coventry City Council, Dorset Council, Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and their health partners. In addition, engagement with national bodies around new reporting structures, forms and standards means CoLiberty is truly unique in it’s offering.

WHY CHOOSE COLIBERTY?
This is a flexible digital solution that is available now to tackle the current deprivation of liberty caseload under the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) scheme and set up to incorporate the incoming Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS) scheme. CoLiberty will allow for a smooth transition during this time and create an agile and flexible approach to managing your caseload and sharing information with other Supervisory, future Responsible Bodies, Assessors, Doctors, Consulted with People and Managing Authorities.
CoLiberty has been designed to make the transition into LPS as smooth as possible for Local Authorities, CCGs, Hospital Trusts and Managing Authorities (e.g. Care Homes). CoLiberty stands alone or integrates into your existing back office systems to allow a secure seamless sharing of data between all the relevant bodies.
